Howdy. I am a photographer and filmmaker currently based in Idaho. On a road trip several years ago I was able to see the west coast of the U.S. through the eyes of people who had never seen it before. I have been lucky to have grown up with the opportunity to explore much of it from a young age. My companions on this trip acted as my first real lens. They looked at my backyard with glee and bewilderment and awakened the kid in me who was constantly craning his neck on family trips in the west. Since that trip I have found gratitude and fulfillment in capturing glimpses of my life that has wandered and meandered abundantly over the years. These images have colored my daydreams on long drives and during even longer shifts. It stokes the fire for the next and keeps my eyes wide with child like wonder.

The satisfaction and joy I get in documenting adventure sports and concerts in recent years is unmatched. I have learned that my favorite photo is a human experience in a beautiful setting. Chasing these moments has led me down memorable roads and cultivated lifelong relationships. My camera has become my most valuable passport.

I got my start as an adventure photographer, primarily shooting rock climbing. And that expanded into other sports and quickly I started working hand in hand with brands that I really aligned with. The first was as a freelancer with Stio which progressed to working in house with Mons Royale in New Zealand. These were immensely educational experiences and as I grew my skillset so did the range of what I wanted to shoot. I quickly expanded into events with concerts and athletic competitions like Natural Selection Bike and the New Zealand Winter Games. I started to define a style and an approach to what I shoot and I have carried that with me since my return to America. I am using those brand building experiences with my years in the field and event coverage to grow a vision of what I want to accomplish and who with. Because I have learned over the years, the latter is far more important.
